However, too much screen time or addiction to social media can have a negative impact on a child’s brain development. Physical activity, social interaction, and extracurricular activities are necessary for a child’s brain development.
Use electronic devices together to monitor your child’s access to digital media. Think of this as an opportunity to communicate, interact, and share your family values. If digital devices are not allowed, set up a digital curfew rule. B. During family conversations, indoor/outdoor games, or when other relatives are visiting.
If you don’t want your child to use digital media, find other interactive options and creative solutions, such as: B. Learn to play an instrument, do arts and crafts, join a sports team, etc.
Please do not give electronic devices to children under 3 years of age. This eliminates distractions from important developmental milestones. Interact more exclusively, one-on-one, with your child.
